PBS Video

PBS video is a Flash based video streaming service that allows you to watch PBS programs that you might have missed or want to watch again. Some programs are still unavailable but improvements are being made to allow for increasing numbers of PBS videos to becomes available online.

Films on Demand Streaming Video Database

The Newbury College Library subscribes to the Films on Demand database, and our license allows current students, faculty, staff, and administrators to access the videos on and off campus, 24/7. 

Benefits of Films on Demand Streaming Videos:

  • Embed into Brightspace/D2L! - Easily embed video segments or entire videos into online LMS (including Brightspace/D2L) using the embed codes provided. 
     
  • Closed Captioning & Interactive Transcripts! - Many videos in the Films on Demand database have either closed captioning or interactive transcripts (or both!) to support accessibility compliance for both distance learning and face-to-face environments. 
     
  • No Need for DVD/VHS Players! - Videos are accessed instantly through any computer with high-speed Internet connection. 
     
  • Create Personal Video Playlists! - Select, save, and organize video segments or full videos into shareable folders. Plan ahead for your fully online, hybrid, and/or face-to-face classes.
