Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT): Home

In the Fall of 2015, Faculty members at Newbury College established a center focused on teaching enhancement, titled the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT

Housed in AC110, directly across from the entrance to the Student Success Center, which allows participating members to create productive synergies between faculty, student, and staff in an environment of learning and enrichment and is aligned with improving student success and retention. This center allows for faculty to collect, share, and use data to continually improve and assess their teaching, and to focus on the interpersonal issues that are at the heart of successful teaching.

To learn more about CELT, contact the CELT Faculty Coordinator Dr. Courtney Cole at 617-730-7288 or courtney.cole@newbury.edu..

The First Lady's Reach Higher Initiative | The White House

The Reach Higher initiative is the First Lady's effort to inspire every student in America to take charge of their future by completing their education past high school, whether at a professional training program, a community college, or a four-year college or university.

In today's economy, a high school diploma just isn't enough. Students have to reach higher, which is why the First Lady is working to rally the country around the President's "North Star" goal — that by 2020, America will once again have the highest proportion of college graduates in the world.
